Golden Sands is full of hotels with thousand-bed pools and music until 4 a.m. We love that it exists — and we wanted somewhere different. So we found a quiet hillside in the pines above the resort and started building a small place to sleep, breathe, and look at the sea.
It's a handful of pods, container lodges and open spots on a quiet hilltop above the Black Sea. Golden Sands is fifteen minutes down — its beaches, bars and bustle. Up here, it's pine wind and a long horizon.
You'll find four ways to stay: a single pod for couples or solo travellers, a family pod made of two connected units, a converted shipping container with proper bedrooms, and a free spot where you can park your van or pitch your tent. Power, water, an outdoor grill and a table for dinner outside — all included. The rest is up to you.
A single futuristic capsule for one or two. Big window facing the sea, a real bed, hot shower, coffee at dawn.
Two pods standing side by side. Parents in one, kids in the other, breakfast on the table in between.
A repurposed shipping container, fitted out warm inside. Proper rooms, more space, room for a longer stay.
Bring your tent, van or caravan. Pitch in the pines, plug into power and water, light a fire in the evening.
180 metres up, in the pine forest. Cool nights, long horizons, no resort music drifting up the hill.
Golden Sands beach, restaurants and nightlife are a short drive. Day-trip Varna and Balchik easily.
Bring the kids and the dog. The site is fenced, the road is quiet, there's room to run around in the pines.
Pods, containers and tent spots — small things on a hillside, not concrete towers. Solar where we can, low-impact otherwise.
